South Hadley School Committee hears of $1.5 million budget warrant for May vote. Assistant Superintendent Lyn Jacques reported that the Select Board approved advancing the warrant article to voters, which includes $1.2 million in free cash for level services and an additional $300,000 to offset School Choice losses. The committee unanimously approved acceptance of a donation to the MESMS Consumer Science program from the South Hadley Cultural Council and voted unanimously to approve policy KCD on Gifts and Contributions.
The budget is scheduled for a May 13 Town Meeting vote.
