SOUTH HADLEY — School Committee approves warrants and Best Buddies donation at April meeting. Vice Chair Danielle Cooke oversaw approval of warrants #2026-247 ($179,186.85) and #2026-255 ($158,655.91), passing three to one with Cooke abstaining, followed by approval of warrant #2026-242 ($259,290.26) and biweekly payroll ($870,682.31) unanimously. The committee unanimously accepted a $3,815 donation in memory of a former life skills student for South Hadley High School's Best Buddies Games and unanimously approved school choice slots for the 2026-2027 school year.
Superintendent Jennifer Voyik reported the Mosier School building committee has requested a two-month extension from the Massachusetts School Building Authority, moving the next project phase deadline to June 25 after community feedback prompted architects to present alternative traffic routing and construction options.
