Commission charts preservation plan priorities

SOUTH HADLEY — The South Hadley Historical Commission is charting a comprehensive historic preservation plan. Chair Robert Judge and Vice-Chair Melissa Taylor led discussions with Shannon Walsh of the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission on preservation priorities and goals. The commission identified two candidate neighborhoods, Woodbridge and North Main, for historic district designation and set goals including Village Cemetery engagement and collaboration with community organizations.
The four-phase preservation plan is due for completion February 2027.
