SOUTH HADLEY — Historical Commission discusses building preservation and cemetery projects. During public comment, Ben Haley raised concerns about ongoing upgrades to historic structures and potential loss of original features, prompting the board to contact the Massachusetts Historical Commission for further research. Chair Robert Judge oversaw discussion of April 18 Revolutionary War 250th anniversary ceremonies planned at multiple cemeteries, with Willette and Jubinville coordinating Fife and Drum groups and an Honor Guard.
Camp has completed brass markers for Old Village Cemetery, while Lebonte is working on Virginia documentation for additional markers at Evergreen Cemetery.
