Board Reviews Plans for September and November Elections

SOUTH HADLEY — Board of Registrars reviewed preparations for September 1 primary and special town elections on an override question, with Town Clerk Sarah B. Gmeiner reporting that approximately 300 of 3,000 mail-in ballots had been returned to date. The board scheduled machine testing for August 20 at 10 a.m., with Registrar Steven Lauridsen planning to observe.

Election-night tasks and assignments were discussed. The board also conducted a preliminary review for November 3 state election, which will include voting on state offices and Hampshire County Register of Probate, along with nine ballot questions.
