Board of Registrars prepares for April 26 town election

South Hadley Board of Registrars reports strong early voting for April 26 town election. Town Clerk Sarah B. Gmeiner told the board that over 1,000 mail-in and early in-person ballots have already been received, compared to approximately 1,100 total votes cast in 2025.

One candidate has notified the office of a planned write-in campaign for an open town-wide office. The board discussed plans to post two sets of machine tapes with initial results by 9:00pm on election night, with hand-counted results including write-ins to follow.
