Elementary School Committee Approves Design Proposal

South Hadley elementary building committee approves design proposal for state review. All eight voting members unanimously approved the Preferred Schematic Report and authorized Skanska USA, the owner project manager, to submit the proposal to the Massachusetts School Building Authority. The $80 million to $120 million project, which seeks to address elementary school capacity through renovation, addition, or new construction, represents approximately 18 months of committee planning.

Superintendent Jennifer Voyik and architect Chris LeBlanc confirmed that additional classrooms in the plan align with district educational programming needs as outlined in the MSBA enrollment study.
