SOUTH HADLEY — Recreation Commission prepares Buttery Brook Park opening. The commission confirmed readiness for the Buttery Brook Park grand opening Saturday, May 16, with newly paved pickleball courts nearing completion, band shell lighting installed, and Aquanett performing at 5:30 p.m. Director Andrew Rogers reported that 49 spring sports teams have competed successfully but warned that potential Parks department staffing cuts tied to the May 11 town budget vote could impact field and facility maintenance.
