South Hadley Redevelopment Authority delays Main Street reconstruction, tackles three problem properties. Michelle Theroux, chair, led the Authority in approving prior minutes and shifting future meetings to 5:30 PM, with the next meeting May 19. The Main Street Reconstruction Project is rescheduled to fiscal 2028, with a public hearing April 23 at 6:00 PM at the Public Library and a 10-day public comment period.
The Authority is addressing multiple problem properties including a collapsed West Main Street building now open for EPA soil sampling, 27 Bardwell Street with revoked building permits, and the Mill 6 Property scheduled for a Brownfields assessment within the month.
