South Hadley School Committee approves $27.5 million budget for fiscal year 2027 after rejecting lower proposal. The Committee voted unanimously to adopt the higher budget figure, with Chair Eric Friesner noting his reluctance about the $725,000 increase. Earlier, the Committee unanimously approved two warrants totaling $1,167,188.19 and prior meeting minutes.
Superintendent Jennifer Voyik reported student athletic and performance achievements and urged community advocacy for school funding at an upcoming state hearing and district budget forum.
