South Hadley Cultural Council approves grant redistribution protocol, surveys community on arts needs.
Cultural Council · Meeting of April 21, 2026
South Hadley Cultural Council approves grant redistribution protocol and community survey. The council unanimously approved prior minutes and discussed redirecting $2,000 in previously committed funds toward school arts programs, pending receipt of a formal proposal from the South Hadley Music Parents Association, MASH, or the town. Treasurer Joy Jarme reported that two grants have been dispersed with the Silverthron grant now fully documented; she will follow up on MCC fund replenishment.
The council approved a new awardee-contact process limiting follow-ups to two attempts before funds are forfeited, and reviewed draft survey questions on community arts programming. Eight awardees have submitted completed project reports.
