South Hadley Selectboard approves $11M override recommendation and revives Cable Advisory Committee. Town Administrator Lisa Wong reported a projected $3.5 million deficit driven by a net $6,000 decrease in state aid and an 11 percent jump in school choice and charter tuition; the Budget Task Force recommends an $11 million override to stabilize services. The board unanimously approved a $150,000 seed-funding proposal for the Redevelopment Authority and voted 4-1 (Miles dissenting) to extend the IGM contract through January 2027, at a cost of $1.64 million in combined operations and maintenance fees.
Assistant Town Administrator Chuck Romboletti reported the Hampshire County Group Insurance Trust is projecting a preliminary 16 percent health insurance rate increase for next year.
