Selectboard · Meeting of February 17, 2026

South Hadley Selectboard backs sewer rate increase and gifts for pickleball expansion. The board unanimously approved raising the annual sewer fee by $25 per equivalent dwelling unit to $525 for fiscal 2027, citing costs associated with planned wastewater treatment plant upgrades outlined in a newly released Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan. Simultaneously, the board unanimously accepted $226,480 in private gifts toward eight pickleball courts at Buttery Brook Park, with the town's share under $20,000.

The board also held a straw poll on override ballot language, signaling support for presenting both $9 million and $11 million options to voters, and unanimously approved Town Administrator Lisa Wong's request for a Division of Local Services management review to explore administrative efficiencies and structural reform.
