SOUTH HADLEY — Planning Board continues SHELD facility hearing to allow traffic and stormwater review. The South Hadley Electric Light Department presented its proposal for a 49,762-square-foot administrative and operations center at 65 Old Lyman Road, selecting a single-story design to reduce construction cost by roughly $2 million and meet essential facility standards. Chair Diane Mulvaney, with board members Brad Hutchison, Rob Watchilla, and Bob Szklarz present, voted unanimously to continue the public hearing to April 27 at 7:00 PM, pending completion of peer review on traffic analysis and revised stormwater management materials submitted by the applicant.
