SOUTH HADLEY — Planning Board unanimously approves SHELD facility permits. Chair Diane Mulvaney, Vice-Chair Bob Szklarz, Clerk Brad Hutchison, and Member Rob Watchilla each voted in favor of both a Stormwater Management Permit and Site Plan Approval for South Hadley Electric Light Department's new 35,949-square-foot office, warehouse, and garage facility with 13,813 square feet of covered and uncovered storage at 65 Old Lyman Road. The permits include special conditions requiring coordination on traffic signal timing and stop sign installation.
The Board also heard a preliminary information session on a proposed Multigenerational Housing Overlay Zoning District on an 18-acre East Street property from Luis Builders, with formal zoning amendment filings expected later this year.
