Planning Board · Meeting of April 27, 2026

South Hadley Planning Board approves 9-space parking lot and landscaping at 460 Newton Street. Chair Diane Supczak-Mulvaney and the Board unanimously approved site plan review for Kemp Realty LLC's proposal to develop a 9-space parking lot with landscaping at 460 Newton Street in the Business A zoning district. The project originally received approval in 2005 for office and residential development but was modified to use the land for parking instead; the prior approval lapsed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Woodlawn Place Condominium Association submitted a letter of support, and the applicant addressed neighborhood concerns about privacy and security through proposed fencing and additional landscaping. The Board found the application satisfied all relevant site plan review standards.
