Library Trustees unanimously endorse April override vote.

Public Library · Meeting of April 6, 2026

South Hadley library trustees unanimously endorse April 14 override vote. Chair David Morrell and the eight trustees present approved a formal statement of support, warning that without full funding the library faces staff reductions and operating-hour cuts, and would fail to meet Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners' Municipal Appropriation Requirement and Minimum Standards. Director Joe Rodio reported a March delivery survey moving 1,023 items through the network and six new hotspots added to the Library of Things.

The board also unanimously recognized outgoing Trustee Mitchell Resnick for 47 years of service.
