Growing Wild South Hadley schedules August garden tour

Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 1, 2026

South Hadley's Growing Wild subcommittee organized native plant initiatives for the growing season. Tom Dennis will coordinate a New England Wildflower Program group order for residents; Rebekah Cornell, Conservation Administrator, will present an updated Growing Wild lecture on July 29. Planning for a Garden Walk on August 8-9 is underway, modeled on similar events in Somerville, Watertown, Belmont, and Lexington, with digital maps and QR codes linking to participating gardens.

Each member present committed to recruiting two to three residents for the tour.
