South Hadley's elementary school building committee voted unanimously on solar and heating systems. The Elementary School Building Project Committee approved a Power Purchase Agreement for solar panels with no upfront cost and selected mixed fuel heating for the planned elementary school renovation estimated at $80 million to $120 million. Chair Diane Mulvaney's committee authorized $600 for a tax bill insert to inform residents and scheduled public forums for October 8 and November 19, 2026, ahead of a Debt Exclusion Vote on April 13, 2027.
