SOUTH HADLEY — Elementary School Building Project Communications Subcommittee coordinates messaging on budget and override concerns. Members Jennifer Voyik, Chuck Romboletti, Elizabeth Wood, Eric Friesner, and Teresa Winters-Tobin reviewed community email correspondence and a draft recap from a February 5 community meeting, identifying resident concerns about budget cuts to AP classes and athletics and the condition of Mosier Elementary School. A working group will develop a unified statement explaining how the town and school district are balancing the building project with budget and override issues.
The subcommittee agreed to update the project website timeline to include pre-feasibility work, eligibility period, key milestones, and historical context dating to 2012 Statement of Interest submissions.
