Cultural Council addresses grant-award standards, allocation shortfall.

Cultural Council · Meeting of February 17, 2026

SOUTH HADLEY — Cultural Council reallocates $500 in FY26 funds to cover grant awards. The council approved reallocation of $400 from administration and $100 carryover to cover a $500 shortfall after awarding $18,500 against an $18,000 budget. Members agreed to maintain awarded grant amounts without modification and to reclaim funds if projects cannot be completed.

Council Member David Solender-Clark will check with the Massachusetts Cultural Council about adding a new grant-application question asking applicants to state the minimum funds needed to proceed.
