Conservation Commission advances pollinator garden tour planning

Conservation Commission · Meeting of June 17, 2026

SOUTH HADLEY — The South Hadley Conservation Commission advanced planning for a free, educational pollinator garden tour scheduled for August 8. Kathy Davis, Tom Dennis, Genvieve Van der Merghl, Joanna Brown, Alexandra, Laura Morrsett, and Stephen Franz have committed to open their properties, with three offering guided tours. Conservation Administrator Rebekah Cornell will consult Town Counsel on liability waiver language and explore a Massachusetts Humanities Council summer intern project to produce maps and brochures.

The commission is deciding between a structured schedule with timed garden slots and a self-guided approach, with registration required for liability documentation and attendee communication.
