Bylaw Review Committee · Meeting of October 7, 2026

SOUTH HADLEY — The Bylaw Review Committee approved three bylaw proposals and deadlocked on a recall petition. Chair David King reported that he and Charles Miles developed a proposal on non-Town Meeting speakers requiring moderator communication and financial interest disclosures; it passed 4-0. Town Administrator Lisa Wong's school bus violation monitoring proposal under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40, Section 71, also passed 4-0.

The committee voted 4-0 to recommend to Town Meeting an amendment removing the 14-day-per-month food truck operations limit. On a citizens' petition for recall of elected officials, Ira Brezinsky moved not to recommend it; the motion tied 2-2, with Charles Miles and Chevy MP Chevrette voting against, and failed.
