Board of Assessors approves exemptions totaling $6,900.64 for Fiscal 2026

SOUTH HADLEY — Board of Assessors approves Fiscal 2026 exemptions and reimbursement claims. Chair Kevin E. Taugher, Clerk Thomas R.
Reidy, and Member Lynn Masson unanimously approved six new exemption applications totaling $6,900.64, bringing Fiscal 2026 totals to 247 exemptions worth $190,090.52 including 16 senior work-off exemptions at $25,281.76. Associate Assessor Melissa L. Couture Rimbold secured approval for exemption reimbursements of $160,686.51 (reimbursable $114,918.61) and motor vehicle excise reimbursements of $11,713.40.
The board also approved March abatement reports totaling $11,270.17 across 105 transactions and entered executive session to vote on fourteen additional abatement applications.
